1. The kids always end up randomly laughing and giggling for no apparent reason other than they are surrounded by their friends.
2. Everyone raises their hands to volunteer for everything. Seriously. There is never a lack of volunteers. Even when the kids have no idea what they are volunteering for, they raise their hands. Sometimes they even raise their hands for no reason. It makes things exciting.
3. They sing. At the top of their lungs. Every single song. Even when they don't know the words. Or the melody.
4. Their prayers are sincere; also random. They tend to pray for things like flowers and puppies and rain and CTR rings.
5. Even the 11 year-olds love singing "Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam."
6. They give the most pure and powerful testimonies that I have ever heard. Hearing a 4 year old talk about Jesus being their friend is the most incredible thing ever, and enough to nearly reduce me to tears on a weekly basis.
7. The songs are heartfelt and touching. It's amazing that even when they don't sing on key or know all the words the Spirit in the room can be so strong.
8. Today one of the kids wanted to sing "The Declaration of Independence."
9. They learn so quickly. And remember it.
10. None of their stories ever relate to the topic at hand. Today one of the leaders asked "How can you help your family pray?" and a 4 year-old answered with a story about how he almost drowned when he was 2. Yeah. It doesn't make sense, but it sure is funny.
Happy Halloween!

Oh so true! Every week I have a new story to tell about my sunbeams. I can barely get a word in because they are so excited to talk about their new Spiderman bike or Ariel toothbrush. It's fun to have that around for a few hours each week.
I miss primary. And I admire you for staying in there - two edged sword. :)
Wow, it's really nice that you can focus on those wonderful things during sharing time. I'm busy telling Ryan to sit down or be quiet. I wish I had your job.
I am also loving primary. One of my favorite callings ever. I guess I love 10 year old girls. It's a good thing that I had so many.
